About Reza
Reza is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and the joint lead for Turning Point Chartered Accountants (TPCSA) NPO and donor-funded VAT recovery and IT3(d) projects. He qualified with a Big 4 audit firm in 2008, where he managed two of the division's largest and most high-profile clients, before moving into Public Practice and specialising full-time in the Non-Profit sector — now 16+ years' standing.
He is a co-developer of TPCSA's internally built "NPO Needs Analysis & Compliance Evaluation" and “NPO Risk Assessment” tools, sits on SAICA's Eastern Region Tax Committee, and represents the sector at SARS stakeholder engagement meetings. He has personally led VAT recovery engagements for a multitude of organisations and is responsible for engaging with SARS and escalating cases with both SARS and SAICA, ensuring tax reforms and sector challenges are addressed at a national level.
He is also the co-founder of 10BucksOnly, an online fundraising, S18A receipting, IT3(d) compliance and donor management platform for South African NPOs.
